The Lunge Mine was a Bamboo Stick but with a Anti Tank Mine with spikes into the End of a Tank.

Suicide boats were also be prepared to help repel the invasion.
Re: Japanese Suicide Weapons
Remember reading of individual Imperial soldiers who strapped an anti tank mine directly to themselves and then deliberately threw themselves beneath American vehicle tires and tracks, usually disabling and sometimes completely destroying it along with the occupants. Believe this occurred many times during the Pacific war. Am certain during the Okinawa campaign there were numerous attacks by Japanese soldiers carrying an anti tank mine on both their chests AND backs which caused the almost certain destruction of the M-4 Shermans so targeted, leading to the US infantry and Marines to closely cover the tanks, to avoid losing their firepower...

The vast majority of the Pacific war was 1 where "no mercy was asked, none was given..."

Gen. Oishi, the guy who developed the Special Attack Squadrons, offered 20,000,000 Japanese dead to save the nation on August 15th, 1945. Mighty generous of him.
