29th Independet Flight Unit — December 1941

#1

Post by Leo Niehorster » 17 Oct 2014, 16:40

Greetings,
Have just stumbled across the following IJAAF unit in December 1941 under the 2nd Army Air Force Division:
  29th Independent Flight/Air Unit (Cmdr ?), with
    • 6th Close Support Group, 27× Ki-36, (Cmdr ?)
    • 7th Close Support Group, 27× Ki-30, ( Capt Yoshio SAKAI )
Did this Unit had its own airfield unit? If so, which one?

Details regarding commanders and locations for December 1941 appreciated.

Cheers
Leo

The 29th Independent Air Unit already had been stationed in China on 8 December, 1941.
