More personnel questions...TIA for any help on these. If only the JACAR records were in document formats where one could copy-paste into a translator! (Of course, if they were, I'd probably go without sleep for three weeks, so maybe it's a good thing they aren't! )

FURUTAKA
Was CDR ISHIKI Takatomi (49) XO since the beginning of the war? When was he posted aboard?

KAKO
I imagine she had only one wartime XO...any idea who this was, and when was he assigned?

EDIT: I posted this same question on another forum, and someone mentioned the final XO as being a CDR TAWARA. Obviously it was not TAWARA Yoshioki, but I did find in a list of officers a CAPT TAWARA Akioto from Eta Jima 48. Was this the officer? If so, I just need the date he was posted aboard.

AOBA
Was XO position vacant from 12 October 1942 - 24 December 1942? (Previous XO CDR (CAPT post.) NAKAMURA Kenji (48) was KIA at Cape Esperance.)

When was CDR ISHISAKA Takeo (50) relieved as XO?

HAGURO
Who was XO for the first part of the war, ending 10 November 1942?

ASHIGARA
Who were the wartime XOs until 8 March 1943?

ATAGO
When was CDR NEGISHI Minoru (49) relieved as XO (he was appointed 26 December 1942)?

Who were CDR NEGISHI's successors from the time of his relief until ATAGO's loss on 23 October 1944?

TAKAO
XOs from 15 October 1940 - 5 December 1942

Who was XO from 15 January 1945 onward?

MAYA
XO from 1 May 1943 - 25 April 1943

CHOKAI
XO from 1 September 1943 - 1 June 1944

One possibility is to use a OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software. But it is necessary for the OCR software to read old kanjis even on the manuscript which inclined.

I can answer only to the question about WHO who has the correct appointment day. (It is difficult to answer to the question about WHEN.)
