Some small examples from the “Something different” thread.

a Type 89 tank recently restored to running condition by the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force:
Peter H wrote:The Japanese original tank Type 89 was used in Chinese front and Pacific front before and during WWII. This one is restored by Japanese Self Defence Army in 2007 at Tuchiura weapon school near Tokyo . . .

Here too:
Peter H wrote:From ebay, dixie_auctions. Assorted AFV types [including these armored trucks Type 93 Sumida]
Sewer King wrote:Are these “Sumida” coupled together like locomotives, for running in either direction? Or, are they simply end-to-end on the rails?

. . . The open door is painted a very light color on its inner side, looking almost white. Presumably the interior of the cab was painted the same? This is typical of many AFVs, to [brighten the interiors for their crews] when closed up in action . . .
At least in this one case, it seems different from German practice. Germans might paint the inside of a tank hatch same as the exterior color, so that it can be open in the field.

It should be possible to consult the owners of what might be the last running IJA Type 95 tank anywhere.

Our own Forum’s linked thread about this same Type 95 also mentions source possibility of the Oregon Military Museum, if it has any Japanese AFVs on permanent collection.

Thanks Sewer King

From these pictures one can deduce that a very pale grey is a reasonable choice for AFVs.
