Awesome...thanks! A few questions:

1) Could you post the Kanji for the following officers?
UTSU Tamotsu (Gunnery Officer)

2) What were the circumstances of CDR TSUYUGUCHI's death? The incident is not mentioned in her TROM.

3) I have YAMASHIRO Katsumori (47) as posted ComDesDiv 8 on 15 July 1942...was this an additional posting?

4) Is this correct for one of HASHIDATE's COs?
MURAI Sadatoshi
Naval Academy 50 (Class Rank Unknown)
NARUTO Navigator - 12/01/30 - ???
KAMOI Navigator - 12/01/32 - ???
KUMA XO - 01/15/43 - 09/14/43
HASHIDATE CO - 09/14/43 - 05/22/44 (KIA)

Hello ijnfleetadmiral,
ijnfleetadmiral wrote: 1) Could you post the Kanji for the following officers?

UTSU Tamotsu: 宇都 保 67
"UTO Tamotsu" seems to be more correct as a reading.
ijnfleetadmiral wrote: 2) What were the circumstances of CDR TSUYUGUCHI's death? The incident is not mentioned in her TROM.
The TROM prepared by Watanabe Hiroshi says he was KIA on 30 August 1943.
(YASUKUNI SHRINE KAIKO BUNKO library possesses it.)
Unfortunately I didn’t write down the circumstances.
ijnfleetadmiral wrote: 3) I have YAMASHIRO Katsumori (47) as posted ComDesDiv 8 on 15 July 1942...was this an additional posting?
No one was appointed CO of DesDiv 8 on 15 July 1942.
The Kaigun Jirei Koho announced the relief of him (page 45 of JACAR C13072087200) mentions his previous post was only CO of HASHIDATE, not CO of DesDiv 8 as additional post.

I rechecked Watanabe Hiroshi’s HASHIDATE TROM.
According to it, she was shot at near Hong Kong on 30 August 1943 by enemy planes, and six men including CO were killed.
