HQ members died of poisonous gas?

#1

Post by Magnuzk » 21 Aug 2016, 14:18

I am helping my dad to find info and details on an incident which may have happened. I don't know how he heard of this, perhaps in Malaysia. In 1945 it seems that HQ members of - I think - the 200th Battalion died suddenly and did not have time to send word of what killed them, it could have been gas. It could be 200 men and not sure if they also disappeared, are still missing in action. This should have been in Northern Borneo (Eastern Malaysia). I don't know any other details at the moment. Is there anyone on this forum who have heard of this incident?

And also another story that he heard in Malaysia and is trying to find out details about is that Japanese fighters (probably Oscars) have been found in a cave in Malaysia. Anyone heard anything about this?

I have searched on the internet for information, but have come up with nothing.

Magnus.
