Hello Marcus!

I just bought three books via your wonderful AHF Bookstore and the link to Amazon.com. Nothing special was noted when I checked out, so I hope that the links worked and your forum gets the benefit.

Yes I did! I was already logged into my Amazon.com account in another browser window, and when I used your links, it still knew that I was logged on. I just didn't get any acknowledgment of anything 'special' during checkout, but since this was the first time that I did such a thing, I don't know if it went normally or not.

I guess that you'll know when you see your commission or not.

Hallo Marcus,
I'd like to put a few things on the 'for sale' section. How do I pay the $35.00 for the year? Sorry if I have missed the obvious.
Terry.

The easiest way is through Paypal, see the link at viewtopic.php?t=40494

I am thinking of buying 'The Economics of World War II: Six Great Powers in International Comparison' Mark Harrison editor. Could you get this linked so the purchase will help support this great forum. I did not see it in the bookstore. I would also recommend Iron Kingdom The Rise and Downfall of Prussia 1600-1947 by Christopher Clark, which I have already purchased (did not see it either)

for reference the non Axis Forum links are.... these would be great additions to the bookstore IMHO

regular amazon link to The Economics of WWII

http://www.amazon.com/Economics-World-W ... pd_sim_b_4

regular link to Iron Kingdom

http://www.amazon.com/Iron-Kingdom-Down ... 722&sr=1-1

Thanks for the suggestions and your kind support James, I will add those titles later today.

AHF receives a small commission not only on the directly linked books but also on any items bought the non-product specific links to Amazon, Abebooks, B&N etc at http://www.axishistory.com/index.php?id=4766

Marcus,

Seeing as how my "paid member subscription" has expired and I am no longer a financial supporter I would like to voice my opinion. There is virtually no traffic in the for sale section of the forum when compared to others out there. I believe that if you made the fee a one time payment for life, or perhaps cheaper more people would contribute to this section, thus making the appeal to purchase a membership much greater. I would like to think that AHF would in fact like to expand, and in encouraging more people to become financial supporters through better incentive, this would be possible. Let me know what you think.

Hello Marcus,
I have contributed in the past but somehow failed to make it ongoing. I don't know what went wrong before but I have a question about future contributions. (I love your website!!).
Instead of using Paypal, is there some (secure!) way of using my debit card that links to my checking account?
Needless to say, SECURE is the operative word! Maybe Paypal would be best but I don't have a lot of experience with it.
I don't have a lot of money so I wouldn't be losing much if something went wrong.
This issue may have been addressed earlier in the thread but I don't want to waste time going through it.
Is Paypal the best way to contribute? How would I do it?---connect it to your account for a monthly (small) payment. SECURELY!!!
Sorry to waste your valuable time again. You should have (and maybe do have) an automatic response to this type of question. How much of your time is spent on this website? A fulltime job? Shoot*, it must be!

Tom,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your message, I've completely overlooked it! The three methods that people normally use when donating are PayPal (you can use your cards when paying using PayPal), direct deposit into the AHF bank account and in a few cases cash in the mail, which one to use of the first two are basically a matter of taste, the third one is not a very secure one for obvious reasons. The costs for cashing foreign checks are brutal here so for smaller donations that is sadly not a good option.

Send me a pm or email if you have any further questions about the details.
