Sorry, that I didn't mention the reason for my conclusion. The Stammkennzeichen batch PE+U was allocated to a Bü 181 series, perhaps this aircraft is PE+UB which served with LKS 5

Any ida where LKS 5 was stationed at the end of the war?
In the far distance to the right are some low mountains or hills, but the fog obscures much detail.

To Snautzer05:
If LKS5 was only in Breslau until 2.45 when the siege of Breslau began, to where did they relocate?
Are there any records as to if they relocated as a unit, or perhaps did individual pilots (perhaps carrying important passengers?) flee to just anywhere they could escape the Russians?
My brother knows more than I do about my father's travels with the 8th Air Force. He is pretty sure that Dad never went as far north as Breslau.
Merci beaucoup!

Snautzer05:
I guess Dad ended up "somewhere between Worms and Heidelberg", before being demobilized.

Allo Hengis!
If the A/C were "PE-UE" instead of "PE-UB", does that mean it belonged to a different unit?

Marsproject: Perhaps this airplane ended up in one of the scrapheap dumps or gather areas that could be found around Germany at that time (you can see twin tail plane of another airplane) If it was serviceable it might very well have flown to the western allies. It might be possible to id the field if there are other pictures or the unit your father was in would help. I have a list of airfields that were used by the 8 Airforce. Pilsen (coded R-89) would be a good one.

Can i post this image on a other board to get more information?

Thank you Snautzer05!
Definitely you may post the pic on other sites.
I'll have to research more specific info about my Dad's unit, and post it as I learn more.
Thank you.

Hello,

yes, if the Bü 181 is PE+UE it may belong to another unit. Also PE+UB could have belonged to another unit instead LKS 5 in February 1945. when the pilot schools were dissolved, the aircraft were transferred for storage to small auxiliary airfields. Many of these aircraft ended up at Czech airfields in May 1945.
