PE+UE Bu181B-1 Wnr. 210305 with LKS4 (LuftKriegSchule late 1943 see http://www.luftwaffe-experten.org/forum ... opic=16214

So now i very much think that this airplane was at Flugplatz Fürstenfeldbruck (coded R-72) wich was occupied by the americans or at Koenigsberg wich was also a base of LKS4 wich on both cases has Bu181

http://klee-klaus.business.t-online.de/ ... eumark.htm
and
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flugplatz_ ... nfeldbruck

Fürstenfeldbruck (coded R-72) can be found near Munchen

In the first link there is a gentleman that gave the Wnr. 210305. This is a very well known board concerning all facets about the Luftwaffe and english is the language used.
I was not unusual to paint only the last 4 digits of the Wnr on the tail. Thats why i think it very well might be the airplane in the picture. I would be a colossal coincidence to have 0305 and the partial code PE + U on another Bu181. But as always with wartime Luftwaffe not unthinkable. Again more pictures would be very handy.

Hello Marsproject48 and Snautzer05,
you can be sure that the shown Bü 181 is definitely PE+UE, Werknummer 210305. As can be seen at the photograph the Werknummer is written in full at the fin tip: 181.0210305

Thank you, Hemingis. So, we all believe the photo probably was taken taken at Furstenfeldbruck or Koenigsberg? Are they still active airfields?

Hi Sturm,

E.g. the tail, landing gear and cockpit position seem more akin to Gotha Go 145.
