Does any body has complet profile for the Arado 234 b flown by this unit? I have a side-view showing cammo pattern with light grey oversprayed with green and brown, but still missing the upper & down views to see the pattern of cammo.

thanks in advance

You both are right, it's KG 76 no KG 56, a transcription error, I beg you sorry. the second question I will say yes, it's grey, not light blue, anyway my source maybe wrong. The profile from a plane captured on March 1945.

Best regards

Here is the definitive book on the subject. It has color profiles galore.

sorry nacho but we are both wrong. did a bit more reserach on this 9./KG 76 machine and the grey areas are painted white for winter combat operations. the unit was shot down by P-47's near Segelsdorf and later taken to Farnborough for tests after it was reparied. White was applied over the dark green body but the undersides are still RLM 76 which was standard for the Kampfgeschwader operating the 234B.

Thanks people for the interest, Erich I think you are refering to this another one Arado 234 b which was shot down on 11 february 1945 while flying with Stafelkapitan Hans Elde (from KG 76 also I guess). Larry I got that excellent book but the color section is wery small (5 planes) and only one up & down view, so any ideas for if the plane was also white paint on the upper surfaces?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Nacho -

Go to this web site. They are all Luftwaffe modelers who specialize in camouflage and markings:

no Nacho it is actually the first profile, I have the pic of the bird, the camo over the green is definately not grey as you have pictured it is a dirty white, which also goes over the balkenkreuz
