Hello

Here a few photo's of this gun from travelling position to ready to fire , first the platform was dugin , then the carriage was placed on the platform and then the barrel could be placed in position . Please note the special tractor .

This gun was in 1940 at Griz Nez with the s.A.A. 84 and was later in the war also used near Leningrad .

Hello Emmanuel

No date on the picture , but it must be 1940/1941 . Strange is that I can't place Adm. Carls in the West at that time .

Hello all.
Image
This image (clickable, very hi-res) was incorrectly labeled at waralbum.ru as 24 cm H. 39 near Perekop (north Crimea) in September 1941. As you can read in Wikipedia, s. 24 cm K.(t) have never been used by HGr Sud, so the shot should have been done during the Siege of Leningrad.

hello Jos

can you read what the "1" after Eisenbahn-Batterie 686 stands for?
the battery was created with order Chef H Rüst/BdE from october 8th-1941 with first day of creation oct 13th-1941 - with standby oct 20th-1941

maybe: "in supply"?
