Hi.
Are there any further infos on the picture you posted? I´m especially interested in the development history of these type of wheels/mounts.

tom!
This type of spring wheels were also tested by the japanese army for an air-transportable 37 mm at-gun and an air-transportable version of the famous type 92 70 mm battalion gun.Tony Williams wrote:Yes, it looks like the big Besa (or ZB vz/60). See the photo below showing one on a strange spring-wheel mounting.

Re: 15 mm M.G. M38 (t) ?
Hí all,
the reason why ZB 60 was not accepted by Czechoslovak army were the unsatiscfactory results of the first samples in 1934. In the same time, the tests of 20 mm Oerlikon turned out positively and Czechoslovak army bought 200 Oerlikons in 1935-36 and considered their production under licence. The main problem of early ZB 60 seems to be ammunition.
New army tests in June 1937 showed somec superiority of ZB 60 over Oerlikon (rate of fire, lower weight, belt feed etc) but still army asked other improvements . By new test in June 1938 a shell exploded in ZB 60 barrel and tests were delayed until August 1938. It is clear tt final weapon was ready too late as Czechoslovak capitulation took place on 30 September 1938. Meanwhile in 1938 Czechoslovak army ordered... two small batches of Oerlikons while first successfull tests were carried out for British Army and Yugoslav Navy
