Regelbau 600 info needed
I'm looking for some (technical) info on the Regelbau 600:
- What type of cannon was used in this bunker (with an L.S.L. Stand) ?
- What was the firespeed per minute ?
- How many degrees was the fire-range and the possible elevation ?
- How many grenades could be stored in the ammunition room ?
Also other or complete information on the R600 is very welcome !
Thanks

Thanks for the information but is there some more ? Maybe someone could answer these questions:
- What type of Kw.K./ Gun was used on a R600 (like the 667 had the Kw. K. L/42 or L/60)
- Against wich targets could the gun used for ? Was it only against light amored vehicles, light amored landingcrafts ?
Thanks

Hi Jaymz
The 5 cm le .S.L. was used against landingcrafts and partial against
tanks and also against infanterie with "Sprenggranate" .
For the elevation that is + 45 and - 9 .
I personelly think that the Kw.K. L/60 was also used on the R600 ,
because most of the 5cm gun in bettungen and R600 were later
in the war placed in R667 .
See you next month

Re: Regelbau 600 info needed
hi there, i have a question:
inside the muniraum of this recently excavated 600 in stp. gr. scheveningen are traces of electrical equipment mountings.
now i can imagen you dont want to use electrical exuipment (exept for expl. safe light) in a room full of 5cm munition?
are there rules or examples that confirm my thoughts?
in 1944 the bunker was used as battl. stab. bij the waffen SS troops defending the landfront of the stp. gruppe.
in the bettung there are bolts to mount the KwK, but we have no evidence that it was ever placed...
the traces of batteriekasten and other exuipment make me doubt?
in another 600 in stp. gr scheveningen also used al battl. stab they built a concrete roof over the bettung to change it into a observationpost
any help and information is welcome!
for more info about the excavation project:

Hi Tim
The brickwork on the emplacement is very high for a 5 cm KwK and that when this gun was placed on a dune and
had to fire at lower targets ?? Maybe the bunker was modernised during the war with electrical equipment to use
the bunker for a other purpose .

Hi,
The electrical installation in the ammoroom was a Fortress telephone
exchange for 10 lines, including battery box and fuse box. I doubt the room
was used for ammo storage any longer; it should be a command post (Kp. or Batl.)

Hi,
Ok, for the postwar construction on top. On a map in Ambachtsheer's book the
location is mentioned as a batl.HQ, so most likely the 600 lost its original function
and was re-used as a HQ bunker.
In the troop quarters the two boxes on the left are KEVs
