Hi.

The upper pic shows a japanese Type Meiji 41 75 mm mountain gun, introduced in 1910. These guns were replaced in the mountain artillery units by the Type 94 75 mm mountain gun after 1935 and handed over to the infantry where they were used as infantry guns for close support.

Yours

tom!

That was really an old weapon by the time the photo was taken!

Hi Jopaerya,

I think your image shows a 42cm Skoda M16 or M17 barrel trailer.

Do you know when the image was taken? WW2 or WW1?

Hello Sturm78

I really don't know , it's a pity that we can't see the cap of the officer behind the gun .

Another Skoda mystery ? Here is a New York Times picture (from ebay.fr) showing guns that look like the 7.5 cm M.28 Skoda gun but with a slightly different shield.

But the barrel assembly also looks identical to the one on the 2nd mountain gun (10 cm posted here by the edge (at 15:31):

So, what gun is this?

Sorry, Emmanuel. I cannot help you with your rare Skoda gun.

An image from Ebay: I think AA gun with Russian 76.2mm M1902 barrel. Any ideas??

Hi Sturm78,

I think it is the German AA version called 7,62cm Sockelflak L/30 (russ 02).

Thank you very much for your help, Emmanuel. :D
I think you are right: german AA gun with 76.2mm M1900 or M1902 russian barrel.

There were many variations so it's hard to be sure which one is. See these links:

Hi all,

I found these two interesting images on Ebay. In the photocaption the gun is identified as a 10.5cm leFH18 but I think it is wrong.
First I thought in a 7.5cm FK38 or 7.5cm FK18 but now I am not sure.
Regarding the FK18, the gun of my image has a more wavy shield on top and and a longer tube.
Regarding the FK38, the gun of my image has a more wavy shield on top and and has no muzzle brake, apart from other small differences.

Any ideas?? :? :?

Thanks in advance. Sturm78

Hi Sturm

I think you are on the right lines with a 7.5 cm gun. Not sure if it is a FK18 or a FK38 as delivered to Brazil. The Brailian guns did not have muzzel brakes. see http://www.network54.com/Forum/330333/t ... 30s%2C+40s
