Unknow gun
Re: Unknow gun
Hello,
It is a 75 mm de Montagne modèle 1919 Schneider.
These guns were purchased by many countries in 1920 years: Argentina, Chile, Brasil, Colombie, Paraguay, Greece, Yougoslavie, etc...
The "modèle 1919" is a commercial Schneider calling. In France, the 75 mm de Montagne Schneider was purchased in emergency in 1924 during the "Guerre du Rif" in Morocco, the guns were taken in a greek contract. After, the 75 mm modèle 1919 was also purchased for use with colonial troops in Africa and Indochina. French Army purchased in 1930 a slightly modified model of 75 mm de Montagne Schneider and this model is known in french Army as "75 mm de Montagne modèle 1928" introduced in service with "Artillerie de Montagne" regiments.
A 105 mm de Montagne modèle 1919 gun was also made by Schneider for the same countries as above and also for Spain which built this gun in Trubia Works under licence Schneider. France purchased to Schneider some 105 M modèle 1919 in 1924 for the "Guerre du Rif" and in 1930 purchased 105 mm de Montagne modèle 1928. for Alpine Artillery.
See my paper in "GBM" review Nr 108 dated april 2014 with many photographs and drawings of 75 and 105 de Montagne Schneider.
Yours sincerely,
Guy François.

Re: Unknow gun
Jos,
The shape of the breach looks to me more like the breach of a 57 mm Hotchkiss or its 6 pdr equivalent. Russia used this coastal gun with shields.

Re: Unknow gun
Looks just like the 65 mm Hotchkiss guns used in the pre war Norwegian Coast Artillery, and also used by the Germans during WWII along the norwegian coast at several locations from the Oslofiord up to Troendelag.jopaerya wrote:Thanks Uwe

Re: Unknow gun
Janef,
The breach of the 65 mm Hotchkiss does not have chamfers on the side unlike the breach of the 57 mm.

2. Possibly a 15 cm sFH402(j) (15 cm K36 Skoda exported to Yugoslavia). No idea about the truck, maybe Czech origin as well?
