Hello

Any one for the type of this gun? And maybe the location?

I suppose that both the Winter and the summer pictures are from the same place :)

Jos, I have no clue, but I think its a WW1ish (or earlier) naval twin mount with shield. One barrel is missing and the remaining one is retracted. Could be ex-French if just captured or ex-Russian if put their as part of the Atlantik Wall?

Hi Sturm

I don't think it is that rare, it looks like the barrel and recoil system from our old friend the 10cm le FH 14(o) or Skoda houfnice vz 14 [10 cm le FH 14(t)] and all the other names it had. The 10 cm M. 14 Feldhaubitze was designed to be broken down into three loads carried on small carts for transport in rough terrain.

Hi Sturm

There use to be a wonderful web site that had loads of Austro-Hungarian WW1 artillery on it. From memory there were photos of the gun in its 3 loads. I looked last night for it, I thought I had book marked it but I had not. Sorry I cannot recall its name. :(
