Railway guns of the Axis forces
Re: railwaygun ID
Jos,
It looks to me like a 340 mm Mle 1912 à glissement - 34 cm K.Gl. (E) 673(f).
It could be the 340 mm gun transferred to Italy after the armistice of June 1940. So, the location could be somewhere in Northern Italy where the gun would have been captured by the Allies in 1945.

Re: railwaygun ID
Picures taken in January/February 1940 according to their other sides. Thus, in Germany.

Very nice to see some new pictures - thanks
Re: railwaygun ID
I could be wrong but In my humble opinion it's an Armstrong (British) B.L. 9.2 inch Mark XIII on Mk IV railway carriage.
Carriage and barrel look to be damaged.
Kind Regards
Greg

Re: railwaygun ID
Could it be then one of 9.2 in. Mk XIII railway guns abandoned by the BEF in northern France in June 1940 ?
