Hi Paul,

The drawing of the FA bunker by Tim is NOT the standard 'window-window-door' FA bunker. The one on Tim's drawing has different dimensions and is significantly larger.

Best regards, Klaas

Hi Klaas,

Oké, thanks Klaas. But 'window-window-door' FA bunker has a lot of different dimensions. There is a bigger version known (probably the one who Tim posts) and some smaller types. Not all these 'window-window-door' FA bunkers are the same.

It can be realy great when this is a new sort of 'Regelbau'...

Regards,

- Paul

YES!!!!

when standing under te shower, it flashed my head i've seen T numbers before...!

on a very bad map of batterie zanddijk, there are some FA bunkers with T numbers.

it's allmost unreadable, but for shure this 2 match the drawings.

T50 should be a waschbarack (look at the BRV drawing, there's a waterbassin on the roof)

and T 48 is a well known bunker, often built in mfl. batterie's

seems we're on to some sort of regional regelbau here...

Hoi Tim,

A fine discovery! Looking forward to your mail, but take your time. I'm planning to make some black&white 1:200 drawing of the T-bunkers.

So now we have:

T47 1/6 Unterkunft
T48 1/9 Unterkunft
T50 Wasch und Abort Baracke

Maybe you should take another shower and recall the T1 to T46.... 8O

Best regards, Klaas

Hi there,

Here is a T48 in Marine Flak Batterie 'Den-Hoorn' (Texel). It like what Tim says: "and T 48 is a well known bunker, often built in mfl. batterie's."

Paul

Correct, but now confusing.

From our studies it is evident that some FA bunkers were as much Regelbau as the St. bunkers. The DDCS telephone bunker T-61 was found on a number of airfields in Denmark - and in France

Hi,

Altough it's very nice to have some new Fa Typenumbers, I still have some problems with the different sizes of the T48's.

Batt Kamp T48 has room inner dimension of 6,5 x 6,5 m. Bat Zanddijk T48 room inner dimension is 6 x 6 m. Paul's T48 is 7,5 x 6,5 m. Also the layout of the rooms in the Batt Kamp T48 is quite different compared to the other 2 T48's.

Please see enclosed German drawing looks like a similar (mirrored) Fa 2/10 Mann Bunker, but then again not the same dimensions?

Best regards, Klaas

Hi,

and than there's the T.622 (and 5x T. 501 and 1 x T.134) in Oostvoorne.
I don't think it has anything to do with the T47 and so on, but just for the record.

greetings,

Jeroen

Hi,

To return to the original subject, did a drawing of the Kommanduerstand based on the BRV drawings, generously supplied by Tim. Please see enclosed drawing. It's quite a remarkable bunker. It had a central heating system, with radiators in wallniches and pipes in channels in the floors. Also remarkable is the toilet near the back entrance on the outside of the bunker.

Never seen anything like this before, but it does look a bit familiar to the ArKo stand of Hanstholm (ref Rolf, Bunkers in Denmark page 138). Anyone seen familiar bunkers anywhere else?

Best regards, Klaas

hi klaas, nice work 8-)

if i'm correct the bunker was built on PWN terrain.
i'll try to visit the PWN archive (if possible) so i can find evidence of the destruction of the bunker...
according to frank stelwagen it should still be there :)

there must be more info somewhere.

Hi Tim en Klaas,

Nice work Klaas! Verry nice. If you remeber my very very bad drwaing I made once a go ;-) This is very good!
Tim, I have a map and a picture with the bunker. But it's not a very good looking picture. The backwall of the bunker can be seen. We talk about it next thursday ;-).
I think we had to talk with G. Gerrits and have a look in his archiev about the Flakbunker T48 on Texel. Btw, it is not a PWN dune. I made a mistake. It is from 'waterschap Noord Holland'.
But there is a but. I will try to make an appointment in the atumn of this year with Staatsbosbeheer, who destroyed the bunkers in the nineties with Kruk from Beverwijk. But that is not the thing I would like to say. Staatbosbeheer Schoorl has a very big and awesome photoarchiev of 'flora and fauna'. And there are also pictures in it from bunkers. I think they have also pictures from this dune, which is completly empty of bunkers yet. Maybe they have a picture?

Greetz,

Paul
