38 cm of Batterie Todt - made by Hanomag?

Hello

In 1949 the 38 cm S.K.C/34 guns of M.K.B. Todt were exchanged with Norway for the 38 cm K.M.36/35(f)
does somebody know of the Norwegian reused the Todt guns ore were they put in reserve ??

The guns were mounted in the same battery as the French barrels had been. At least two of the barrels was mounted in C/39 turrets at MKB 6/501Nötteröy south of Tønsberg in the Oslofjord. The guns were functional and test shoots fired in October 1950. The Norwegin coastal defence did not want to keep any of the large caliber batteries for different reasons so as many other batteries the guns was cut to scrap in 1957.

Hello

The first name of this battery was M.K.B. Siegfried after the death of Fritz Todt in 1942
the battery was renamed as M.K.B. Todt , now I found a picture from a 38 cm "turret" with
the name Hagen painted on it . Siegfried and Hagen are both figure's from the Nibelungensage ,
so maybe the other turrets had , in the early phase , the other name's from persons in this saga ?

Interesting that this thread is alive since 2007! Thanks for adding more info to all of you. Just found a 'Die Wehrmacht 'magazine of 6 November 1940. Not 100% sure which battery this is however..
