Hi Tim

It was a great vacation , nice hotel , good food and beautiful weather .
Did not find any remains of the D.A.K. or French concrete .
Back to the Topic on the photo's from Arthur you can see marks on the
top of the tobruk what looks to me as direction marks , so who knows .

hi maarten, i'll never get used to the baupunkten designations....
allways have to peak my books for the reference
for me its just batterie kijkduin..

en WN 103M there were also 2 or 3 ringstande of this type, 2 of them recieved a roof afterwards.

about the niches on the floor, maybe they could have been for ammostorage?
this example had a nice brick/wooden ammostorage :D

Hello

In Holland and in specific in IJmuiden a few Tobruk are called S.T.S. could be Schwere Tobruk Stand
does anyone have seen this in other places then IJmuiden ??

What strike me this form of tobruk has different size's of the ring 95 cm , 115 cm and even 130 cm
but the basic inner form is the same .

Photo's = Paul Dijkstra

Hello Alex

In the book Stp.Gr.Goeree from Jeroen en Peter , you can see on the drawings of the W.n.
le.M.G. Ringstand and s.M.G. Ringstand with different diameter opening on top ( 80. 95.115 and 130 )

The quistion is are the walls thicker or the weapons heavier ??

Hello

Here a couple of photo's from Jack Westhoeve from a S.T.S. with a typical M.G. lafette
this one is used for a 7.5 cm Kpfw.M.G. 311(f) , the back is placed on the central pivot and
it looks a roller is placed on the tobrukring for rotation .

My quistion who has seen this type of M.G. lafette on other places ?? and could it be used
for other l.M.G.s ??

Regards Jos

Hi Jos, this pivot they found is a "behelfseinsatz für Ringstand", Gerät type 944S6.

it could also be used for the MG 34, MG 42, MG 24 (t), MG 26 (t), MG 37 (t), MG 116 (f), MG 127 (b), MG 249 (r) and MG 311 (f)
