Eisenbahn Batteries at Pas de Calais
Re: Eisenbahn Batteries at Pas de Calais
Oh right the Scheibe could be the Drehscheibe/turntable, Uwe's explanation probably makes more sense than mine.

Thank you for sharing, Stewy !
Page 32 of the Soldbuch gives us information of the various postings of E.765 from June 1941 to June 1944, through France, USSR, France, Italie and France again. Could you post page 31 in order to see the positions before June 1941?

That's the lot, sorry about the order they're in but computers aren't my strong point. If a Mod/Admin wouldn't mind reversing the order of each post i would be grateful & it'll probably make more sense. Kind regards, Stewy
Re: Eisenbahn Batteries at Pas de Calais
Hi Emmanuel, you mean the Wehrpass not the Soldbuch. Anyway there's nothing on it. His service locations start on p.32. Hope that helps a bit. I have a few other Eisenbahn Soldbuchs & Wehrpass. But this is my only Eisenbahngeschutz example at the moment. Stewy

Very nice information Stewy
Re: Eisenbahn Batteries at Pas de Calais
Yes, of course. I'm mixing up the two terms.stewy wrote:Hi Emmanuel, you mean the Wehrpass not the Soldbuch.
Thank you for checking page 31.

Re: Eisenbahn Batteries at Pas de Calais
No worries. Pages 1, 11 & 12 of the W/P show the units he served in prior to '41. I found it odd that he was trained on a flame thrower. Would this be standard to railway gun crews? Stewy
