The one at Dunkirk (Stp Eduard - near Ecluse Watier), based on measurements taken last year by Dirk P., JP (French forum) and me. (gunmodel skoda by Fingerz on SketchUp)

There is another picture of this bunker with a larger view of the surroundings on page 182 of “Atlantikwall: Mythe ou Réalité” by Alain Chazette.

After the study we made about the VF LAG which must be called FA instead of a VF
i ll see that this VF Skoda as everyone calls it is many times no really to the standard thickness of 1 meter
So can we still call this bunkertype a VF Skoda or must we reconsider it and change it to FA Skoda (or behelsmassige Skoda?) ?
also this bunkertpe is from april1942 .... or maybe earlier
what are your opinions about it ?
Dirk

We had a discussion before where we concluded that the shortcut FA was nowhere to be found in german documents.. only the word feldmässige bau or feldmässige bauwerk and so on.
Maybe now it's found by someone?

Some tobruks 80 cm are also VF, and some of the skoda bunkers have 1 or more meter walls

To make it easyer..

Yes these skodas are mostly 50 a 80 cm thick
some are 1 meter and one is 2 meter
and FA i ll never seen on any document (or i forgot it)
sometimes 40 cm concrete with iron in it is also named VF
but if its only Stampfbeton than it is Felsmassige bau

It's maybe a bit offropic bu I'm 100% sure that i have read in a german document ( i think neue westwall period 88 A.K) the following term: feldmaßiger ausbau in beton (or stahlbeton).. maybe that is the key to the thin walled concrete bunkers??

I have seached my ass of, but cant find the damn document anymore.

Hi Dirk, it was "feldmassige werken" in beton.
So thinwalled bunkers (the 40 cm ones?) In beton.
That was why i was so happy finding it.. but my archive is a big mess :|
