Concrete 20P7
Hello all
Can any one give me any more information on this concrete 20p7 which i think has been built in Poland.
http://www.bunkrowiec.com.pl/portal/1/kop20p7.jpg
I would like some more pics of it if any one has any, and how it was built and what materials were used.
Many thanks
Kevin.
And of course i'm still looking for a proper 20P7 if any one knows where one is.

Re: Concrete 20P7
Hello all
Jos thank you for the email and the information.
From what Jos has told me, I'm now trying to figuer out whether this concrete turret was built during the war, or has recently built to replace a removed 20p7 turret?
Any ideas???
Cheers
Kevin

Re: Concrete 20P7
It's a not similar reconstruction of 20P7 in Pz.W. 694 in Lubrza by private user. Thickness is not bad, but look at the embrasures...

Hi Grzegorz, so these ARE post-war rebuilds? Yes?
When the originals have been destroyed, re-creation is good.. more information on what was done to make these, suggestions as to how to make better ones, please!
Best
John

Re: Concrete 20P7
I have just a few questions about this "reconstruction". Pz.W. 694 in Lubrza is situated in the line of many examples of 20P7, made by Hoerder Verein or Krupp, for example. Inside an elabories about FFOWB you'll see also a best cross sections of a type of this copula by Robert Jurga. Robert had an idea to make better the recontruction, but a realisator knows more better (?!). Results of this work are not perfect - we have a new type of copula, made in 2006...

Hi Kevin,
Looks like a email to 'South West Action Group' is now required from me to see about the proposal for a concrete 20p7

Re: Concrete 20P7
Hi All
I did see some pictures of these turret rebuilds some years ago, but can't find them at present. I know the basis for the turret started with a thin steel sheet to form the interior dimension of the turret with any necessary embrasures cut out. Once this is in place reinforcing bars are placed around the outside and concrete applied until the correct shape is achieved. Hope that makes some sense.
Regards
Paul
