3.7 cm M 25 (f)
Hi
This French flak gun was used on land and on navalships , original name 37 mm CA/ SMCA Mle 1925
beside this single gun , the French navy also used the twin 37 mm CAD Mle 1933 ( last photo ) .
Most of the 3.7 cm M 25 (f) were used in naval coastbatteries in the "Mittelmeerfront" .
Photo's = Ebay.de and Alain Chazette

Re: 3.7 cm M 25 (f)
Hello Jos,
nice pictures! Never saw the single version before. Thanks.
Seems to be not very common this gun. Any idea about numbers in German hands?
Here's the twin version again, from e-bay.de.
Greetings,
Barovic
PS: nice to see it on the half-track too, some combination!

Re: 3.7 cm M 25 (f)
Hi Sitzkrieg and Barovic
@ Sitzkrieg very nice conversion of the American truck and the French flak , must be 1943 in Tunesia .
@ Barovic I don't have any clue about the numbers of guns in German service , AFAIK not so many in
the Atlantikwall only a few single and double in the "Sudwall" .
Regards Jos

Yes, it's Tunisia in 1943. In a french publication it was described as a 37mm Schneider "sur affut crinoline" (whatever "crinoline" means in French).
Here's another photo (http://www.beute.narod.ru/Beutepanzer/u ... ftrack.htm):
Re: 3.7 cm M 25 (f)
Nice picture of the gun , crinoline mean hoop-skirt and the "affut" looks like this .

Re: 3.7 cm M 25 (f)
So basically it's a euphemism for the classic conical pedestal mount. Thanks Jos!
Re: 3.7 cm M 25 (f)
Very interesting weapon, I think single shot?
Always felt there was a certain similarity with the Dutch Navy AAC 37mm L50:

Any thoughts?

Hello
@Sitzkrieg , It's only a euphemism for the mount made of iron bars ( Must be look like a hoop-skirt )
@Nuyt Yes , single shot only.
