Unless the location is written on the back of the pictures, there' s not much background landscape visible to identify 100% the area around Fermanville near Cherbourg but it's possible it is there. It could also well be the installation of the battery in its pre-mid-1943 location i.e. Norderney in Germany at the beginning of the war.

You are right not only the 4 is the same but also the cammo on the block is the same .
