plan tobruk italy (plan forttravel axis)
Tobruk 01 plan 325.jpg
here a tobruk that has the some of the same features as the one in Italy
it is built several times in the 7 KVA H sector
the one from our plan was equiped with a APX turret ( R35)
Alain Chazette says it is a type "Fest.Pi.Stab.11 tobruk" in his Omaha book

Hello
Here is a photo of a front plate from a F.Pz.DT 4804, with 3,7 cm KwK, recovered from a Ringstand (probably Bauform 238) somewhere.
Photo from http://forum.valka.cz/viewtopic.php/t/71646/start/-1
Can anybody tell where this photo was taken?

Hi Lars, according to Polish forum. it was found at summer 2004 somewhere at Poland. The guy who posted the photo did not want to specify a location. Maybe any Polish colleague shall know more about it ... There were more F.Pz.DT 4804 turrets at Poland, but they are gone since the nineties. Some of them cut by locals, some ended up in German museums.

Hello Ondrej
Thanks for info about FPzDT 4804. Interesting that there were several of these turrets in Poland. The German list dated 26/3-1945 says that 40 turrets of this type were sent to the Southeast (not East), but it is well known that there are some other minor errors in this list.
Do you have information about other FPzDT 4804? I only know about the turret at Zerkowice, which was removed during the 90es.

Hello,

There were also turrets placed in area of town Sulejów n. Pilica river. One of the turrets should be still on private property (without gun).
Color photo posted previously showing recovery of the gun looks to me like area of Sulejów.
One of the turrets from Sulejów already left Poland and is now on exhibition in one of Western military museums.
Hope it gives some light on Your questions.

Regards
Andrzej

Nice photo Jos. It is not the same place, but the second turret at Remouchamps, located near the bottom of the valley. The visible building is hotel Bonhomme. The turret is still there, overgrown by vegetation.

Hello Andrzej
Thanks for the pictures. Nice turret, but it looks more like a Normalturm, because the FPzDT 4804 usually had a flat top plate with ventilation slits instead of the periscope cupola.
