Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
Two pictures from North.
Area of Murmansk- Petsamo and Kirkenes.
Or two views of the some turret with different captions?

Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
The hatch is in a different position (must be turnable?), but the pattern on the turret looks identical to me.
Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
forttravel, the top photo has already been discussed. Try page 12-14 of this thread. It's a H39 tank in concrete, not just a turret.

Intended for a Regelbau 687. This photo is from an allied report on the Alsace defences.

Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
From opposite part of world, if this picture is not a fake it shows Japanese bunker armed with turret used for prototype heavy tank type 4 (Tier IX) or type 5 (Tier X). Gun is 140 mm L/50 barrel. Location unknown, somewhere on areas captured by Russians: Manchuria, Sachalin, Kuril islands?
Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
Hello
I dont know if this is a replacement turret for a panzer, or it is intended as a bunker turret.?

Re: Bunkers with tank turrets!
Hello Kurt
Thanks for this nice photo.
The Tiger II turrets were produced by Wegmann & Co. in Kassel and were brought by rail to Henschel’s assembly plant just a few kilometers away. Maybe the turret on your picture was not yet unloaded from the railcar when American troops occupied Kassel in April 1945?
But in a “Meldung über Waffen-Einbau, Bereich Fest.Pi.Kdtr. XXI”, dated 25.02.1945, there is a strange mentioning of 25 Tiger II turrets (please see attached copy from NARA). Anybody who can figure this out?
Greetings Lars
