Re: Id. heavy artillery ammunition
Sturm78´s mail of 09.01.2015:
Original text for SA 56810 is "Järeä (8 tuuman) ammus , painoa n 94 kg. Sirkiänsaari 1941.10.14", in English "heavy (8 inch) shell, weight 94 kg. Sirkiänsaari 1941.10.14"
In general, it would save some trouble if anybody posting SA pictures would also copy the original text; thanks in advance. As in this case, the correct answer was there in Finnish, all the time.
The only SA shell closely corresponding to this is "203 tkr 24/31-Ra", where "Ra" refers to "Ranskalainen" i.e. French.

Just like the last time, the answer included to the photo caption. Hence, the next time could you copy it as well - like veeteetee already requested once.Sturm78 wrote: Two images from SA-Kuva archive (60028-60029)
