Re: What is this bunker?
According to the construction details (embrassure without steps, rounded roof, rivetted shutters) I guess it could be any bunker, built during the WWI. In that case it is hard to say more, because it is a field fortification.Jose85 wrote:Hello,

Hello,
thanks! For me it looked too sophisticated for WW1 field fortification/bunker. But i have very little knowledge for the WW1 era.

It looks like a German bunker, but I've never saw this kind of camouflage pattern in the Westwall.

Re: What is this bunker?
Wasn't this camo used on some parts of Ostwall?
these look different, but maybe there were other types?

Re: What is this bunker?
Hi guys,
this is a nice picture of a very rare camoflage, used at the westwall.
Here in the saarland we have some different camos on the bunkers. This picture looks like
one, i saw at a Regelbau C1 in Merzig.
The shown bunker looks like a Regelbau B1-xx, it has 80cm Roof and Walls
BRegards
Markus

Re: What is this bunker?
If it is not any WWI "reinforced" field position, I thought it could be the Metaxas line. The Greeks were using embrasures without steps, rounded shapes of roofs and shutters inside the embrasures. But it is only a suggestion.Jose85 wrote:Hello,

Re: What is this bunker?
Another pics from eBay.de
this could be mirrored? ((or right? there was mirror version on eBay too) Some of the Maginot Line Avant Postes and other "petit beton" have pretty wild shapes, maybe?? The square dark places look like typical FM embrasures? But what's that cupola? on the top? another German training bunker?

Re: What is this bunker?
The cupola on the top photo is not a Maginot Line design. So, I guess it is not French.
Re: What is this bunker?
Yes it doesn't look like any Maginot design, but there was many weird stuff on the "petit beton":WW1 "guerites",WW1 ex-German armoured observation posts...
Edit:other idea -Yugoslavia?? Yugoslavian bunkers have some weird concrete cupolas with armour plates.
