Well Arthur,
You are defenedly not the only one!
But there are a lot places that we hoped to see once, and can not anymore.
Luckily we can say we saw Wissant in the day's the beach was packed with concrete.
Stella Plage would be a really nice late war battery.
If i look at the M262 it was a photogenic bunker.
A real tease!

Hello

The naval commandspost like M 162a , M 262 and M 262a have only one entrance , but when
I check my information not all of these Leistande have a emencency exit . All M 262a I could
find have one , only a few M 162a have a extra exit ( Holland and Kerbonne ) and also the M 262
in France did not recieve a exit and it looks that the ones in Holland all have a extra exit .

Strange that a general rule ( one entrance a extra exit ) was interpreted in different ways ??

Maybe the observation slit was enough of an escape shaft?

When i study the Ba sector for Jos today i came up a M 262 in that sector , nothing special
a few are build in France (Longues vasouy Stella aso) they all have in common one entrance no emergency exit
Xhen i look in Holland i found some with an emergency exit and a "Nahkampfraum" (Callantsoog) and another one in construction with the nahkampfraum
Can we speak of a M 262 also ? or has these with nahkampfraum (and another entrance system quite unique for this regelbau still speak of a M 262 ?
the original german plans of a M 262 are dated 1944 and show no nahkampfraum or emergency exit .....
Maybe a question already solved , i don t know

Please look at page 1 of this Topic , the one with a entrance defense is called a M 262a
and the other without a M 262 .
