Hi again...
The drawings are supposed to be in the order of 1-6, but this forum turns them up side down.

Hello Tommy

This based on original drawings and not any post-war books

118 =
118b = same bunker as 118 but with a basements for Lufters , Heizung and Water

118 = build in Holland only has the same function as the basement but was build on the left side of the bunker ( 118a ?? )
118 = build in Holland , Belgium and France same rooms build in the right side with a extra entrance ( 118c ) based on
a buildingplan from St Nazaire called 118 Calais .

The theory is that the rooms that were build along sides of the 118 had to do with high groundwaterlevel so no basement .

Hello Jos,

I found your drawing with the R 117 with an additional room for the officer very interesting. I have never seen this drawing before. Do you know if such a type wes ever build?

Greetings

Daniel

PS.: Next time when I will be out along the WW, I will take a measurement of the room altitude in one of the surviving ruined R 118.

Hello Daniel

I don't know if the Westwall type was build as the drawing on page 1 , but I know that there was
a 118 build with a entrance defence in Holland , don't know if was used for a bed for the officer ??

I was wundering if the 118a came AFTER the 118b.
Since the 118c has a Nahkampfraum, it must be the ultimate and the last one of the 118's.

Is Patricks 118 Bléville an upgrade of the original 118 Westwall?
AND is the 118a on page 1, perhaps the real 118a? (where is the ventilationsystem?)
That one looks just like the 118b in Hanstholm, only with its own powersupply and vent. in the basement.

Can they be put on the same page in a smaller size perhaps, for compareson?

What software are your drawn in, Patrick?

Kind regards
TS

Hi jos,
i think it's just a observationpost for the ''guard on duty''.
the bunkercomplex was surrounded with ''weilanden'', so on this high point they had a good view!
