In diesen Wochen unternimmt Generalfeldmarschall Rommel eine ausgedehnte Besichtigung zu den deutschen Verteidigungsanlagen am Atlantik und an der Kanalküste. Der Generalfeldmarschall (links) bei der Besichtigung einer Geschützstellung. 7/1-44.

Im Auftrage des Führers unternahm Generalfeldmarschall Rommel kürzlich eine Besichtigungsreise zu den Befestigungsanlagen in Dänemark und an der Atlantikküste und überzeugte sich von der hohen Abwehrbereitschaft und Schlagkraft der gewaltigen Anlagen und ihrer Besatzungen. Unser Bild zeigt den Generalfeldmarschall bei der Besichtigung einer Befestigungsanlage, deren Einzelheiten ihm von einem Festungsbauspezialisten erläutert werden. 31/12-43.

During a visit at Wissant ( Stp 119 Preussen ) you can see the 631 in the back ( still there )

According to the book Gen.Feldm.Rommel this should be on 22-12-1943 .

Greetings to all

I did not know this pic of Rommel posted by Jos on page 8, but some details on it looked familiar to me: the lines of the wall, and the rocks in the background:
fortunately I had one taken nearly at the same place.

In fact it was taken in France, Northern Brittany:

The Feldmarschall is inspecting position no. AOK 7 / KVA A2 / Po 57 at Port-Blanc (Penvenan, France)
