Re: Luftwaffe Eisenbahnflak ID
Hi Czarek
You are right the gun is a 8.8 cm Flak L/45 in 8.8 cm M.P.L/30 ,
it looks that the last picture is retouched .

Thanks Jos
8,8 cm Flak/L 45 in M.P.L. C/30, hmm interesting composition. I did not know, that Luftwaffe used something like this. You have another pictures, without retouch ?

That's interesting. There were some guns in the Reichswehr inventory (Koenigsberg fortress).
Any idea mow many were in service by 1939?

Re: Luftwaffe Eisenbahnflak ID
This picture from ebay shows another naval gun (German 8,8 cm SK L/?) mounted on the same type of platform and with the same types of railroad cars on both sides. What do you think?

Re: Luftwaffe Eisenbahnflak ID
Here are two other pictures from ebay.de:
It is interesting to note that the Germans had already installed several 8,8 cm SK L/45 with their shields on railcars in WW1. The guns that survived the war were destroyed by the Allies’ naval control commission in 1921 (Source: “Eisenbahnartillerie: Histoire de l’artillerie lourde sur voie ferrée allemande des origines à 1945” by General Guy François).
