Hello All

In Norway and Denmark I have seen Inf. Stützpunkt or Art. Stützpunkt on lists and drawings
as official names , were these names also used in other parts of the Atlantikwall ??

Hi ReichExplorer,

The Wn. at Le Picquerel is Wn. Spitzpunkt (spur-point) :)

Hello Jos

I have not seen it anywhere else apart from Denmark.

Then again - in Denmark are also used "Sperrbatterie" and "Sperrrigel" or "Riegelstellung" also not seen any where else.

Some other names are used in France and Channel Islands.

Einsatzstellung "Name" / Jersey
FlakStP "Name" / Alderney
Kernwerk "Name" / France

That is some of the different names i have seen.

Regards
Kurt

Hi,

Alderney also has 3 Riegel (Defence line) which were,
Riegel 'Salsbucht'
Riegel 'Gaswerk'
Riegel 'Ost'

Each takes the form 400 metre long (more or less) continuous trench lines which run on the edge of high ground over looking low lying areas

afaik there are no such defence lines on Jersey or Guernsey.

Hello Friends

Kernwerk is also used in Holland for a kind of citadel in a defence .
Sperrbatterie is also used in M.FL.A. batteries a kind of dual function Flak but also as coast defence .
Riegelstellung is very common used .

Regards Jos

P.S. I can't find the FlakStp. in Alderney

I think Rolf used the earlier maps of the islands which give these designations.
Like Einsatzstellung and Rückwärtsstellung.

Thanks Kurt

As Arthur already stated I think Rudi Rolf ( "Polimi-list" ) used a early list with Stp. and W.N. , in the exellent
book Festung Alderney from Trevor Davenport you can see the Stp. and W.N. as we know in the A.W.

Regards Jos

P.S. I have my dought about this list because every "Bauplan" was used as build and as we know from Norway
Denmark , Germany and parts of France not everything from these buildingprograms was build .

Thanks Forttravel

Very nice drawings , I think the J-Punkplan is something else because you can read the Stp. and W.n. on your drawings .
