Dummy Batteries

Nice pictures from Hanstholm. I know that it existed dummy guns at Vara during the takeover in '45, but I haven't managed to find the locations for those sites or what caliber they were to resemble.

Two of those dummy batteries can still be seen today in the region of Ghyvelde (France), they are even visible on google earth. The dummy guns are long gone but the dummy gunemplacements can still be clearly seen, each dummy batterie counts four of these emplacements

These dummy batteries can be found near the Stp. Arnika in Ghyvelde.
How to find with google earth:
- go to Ghyvelde - rue de la frontière (France)
- follow this road east (direction belgium)
- at 1/3 of this road their is a private road leading nord to the private hunting grounds with long shaped lake
- just past this road you can clearly make out 4 dummy gunemplacements (east of the private road/under lake)
(look for four circles with a small opening positioned in a half moon shape)
- the second dummy batterie can be found just east of the long shaped lake (past the farmhouse with pond)

If i knew how to screenshot google earth it would be easier to show...

Hehe, that's not a fake gun. It's most probably Bt Rozenburg, Hoek van Holland.
