Hello

This gun was designed to reduce the weight of the 10.5 cm le.F.H.18 , with was travelling
weight 3490 kg , to a travelling weight of 2300 kg of the 10.5 cm le.F.H. 18/40 .
The carriage of this gun was the same as the 7.5 cm PaK 40 and a typical muzzle brake .

Photo's = NAC and Ebay

For the fans of "Band of Brothers", the 10,5 cm leFH18/40 were actually the guns of the German battery at Brecourt Manor in Normandy on D-Day. :D

Right, Alan. The closest battery in the area with 10,5 cm K331(f) (ex-French 105 mm Long Mle 1913 Schneider) was the HKB 2./1261 positioned at Azeville.
