Hi all,

I'm still looking for images of the 21cm Mörser 10-16 horse drawn howitzer in transport position in two loads

I have found this image (from Ebay) of an 21cm Mrs barrel trailer in tow by a Bussing tractor

Does somebody have any image more?

Thanks in advance. Sturm78

PD. Can somebody identify the second gun?

Hi all,

Nobody for my last question?
The 21cm Mrs was a common artillery piece in WWI. No images in transport position??

On the other hand an WW2 image from Ebay: It seem that the barrel has been demounted

These are a few images of the 21cm MRS L/12. The last photo shows the mortar being set for transport into two loads:

Hope this is of interest

Thank you for your images, Jopaerya and Ralph.

A pity the small size of your last image, Ralph. :(

Some German propaganda pictures of the 21 cm Mrs 16 that we have seen before on this thread found their way in the LIFE magazine issue if August 28, 1939 :

Thank you for sharing these images, Markus. :D

Here, an image from Ebay: 21cm Mörser howitzer recaptured by germans during the Western Campaign of May-June 1940.

There are many pictures of these howitzers abandoned during the May-June 1940 campaign. Its use is still not very clear :?

Sturm78,

On the right of the picture you can see a WW1 memorial (with an overturned empty shell in the foreground) and the uplifted trail of a second moerser. Numerous WW1 German guns were installed next to WW1 memorials in many Allied countries after WW1. This is the case for the moersers on this picture which would have been taken either in Belgium or France.

Hi all,

An image dated in 1928. See the old WW1-era wheels and the shield in one of the howitzers,
