Guys,
I'm little off that topic, but still in subject of limbers and ammo caissons for horse drawn artillery.
This is an Italian origin ammo wagon used by Polish artillery in 1939 campaign. Do you have any data/drawings... for that device, even what is original designation.
This is to made a replica. All illustrations comes from: https://derela.pl/art_75mm_wz02-26pl.htm

Re: German limbers
Hi all,
In this image you can see that the limbers of these 10.5cm leFH18 (horse-drawn) howitzers have two different types of wheels: the standard metal wheels of the horse drawn version and, in the case of the howitzer in the foreground, wooden spoked wheels.
Does anyone have any idea about the reason for using this type of obsolete wooden wheels in the leFH18 howitzer?
I have seen very few photos of the wooden wheels, except for the FH18/40 horse drawn version, in which these wheels were used, I suppose for the purpose of saving strategic materials, from 1943 onwards.
