thanks SES
yes when we see at documents who are known for a long time we see clearly that the tobruk is not connected with the bunker itself many times

the germans put even another color on their plans and with a small separation

another identification
a normal "offener beobachter which is incorporated in the bunker itself has the tobruk in direction of the bunker

in one ST plan we see another type tobruk that is not described as an " Offener beobachter but as a MG Stand
i never seen this model but the plan itself is an essay for the 625 and maybe we have an early assay for a "prototype" of a 58a
we see we can stock some munition in the entrance but ist not that logic
this plan dates from the autumn of 1942 so this sticks with the dates of a 58c and the development of the offener beobachter in the serie 600

This is almost the same as the Wa.Prüf.Fest tobruk right?

Also beware: There is a difference between Wa.Prüf and W.P.Fest. For quoting the zeichnungsnr. it's best to name the whole description. (I'm sorry I am such a nitpicker :) )

Hi Dirk,

There are more disscusions going about that type. These are commonly found on the Channel Islands. For example see Wa.Prüf.Fest I 59

I dont know what correct, but looking at the drawing the tobrouk could be the one listed as 315g, a 58c.
At bunkerpictures.nl there is a picture of the entrance to that tobruk.

a 61a is for a 5 cm mortar
i ll think a 61b has another weapon but i suppose another type of mortar
the evolution of 58 a to 58d seems to be in the holding capacity of ammo ... an "offener beobachter ... he has no need for ammo , a 58a a small ammo niche , a 58b unknown to this moment a 58c and 58d has the saùe ammo holding capacity
you can find it all worked out in our free publications (you can get them by the site of Arthur van Beveren , the french forum (lebonfoum atlantikwall) and the site of Bart Ketels
i can send them to you of you send a private message with your e mail...
