Alan,

It would then resembled the Australian 2 pdr SPG but the shield of the 2 pdr is not as large originally:

There are also the possibilities of mounting a 2.5 cm Pak 112(f), a 3.7 cm Pak, a 4.5 cm Pak 184(f) or a 4.7 cm Pak187(h).
(see here on Bren carrier: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 0&t=200902)

Here is a picture (expired ebay.de auction) of a German antitank unit in the USSR. The Renault UE tankette in the foreground has a very large shield with what could be the covered rear of an antitank gun. This is the first time I see such a large shield on a UE. Does someone have a front view of a UE with a large shield?
This vehicle belonged to 125 Infantry Div. They had a least two similar vehicles, I have a view from the front of one. It has a rectangle shaped slot opening, but it does not look big enough for a 2 pounder gun nor is they a vision slit that I can see.

MJC,

Could that be an MG or is it a small caliber gun?

The other towed guns are 3.7cm Pak so could the weapon on the UE be a 3.7cm?

MJC can you share the photo from the front?

I suspect it is for a MG.

Above is my image I have trimmed it a bit.

The nearest is I agree, others may be 7.5 Pak 40?

No I would not think so see above, also the canvas cover on the weapon in the other photo seems to be far too small to cover the elevation and traverse wheels which stuck out a fair bit on the 3.7cm. I bid on the photo Emmanuel posted it went for Euro 186 I seem to recall (I was the second bidder).

Thanks for the photos, Mark.

It is a strange UE conversion. I wonder if it was used as a observation post or similar for the guns.

The same Jagdpanther can be seen in this 1944 footage at around 9:25 moved by a bulldozer:

Looks like a wooden gun but any idea what 10.5 cm recoilless gun this should be ??

Picture = Ebay

Regards Jos
According to v. Senger u. Etterlin, German Tanks of World War 2, it's an experimental mock up using the Borgward VK 302 munitions carrier variant of the B IV funklenpanzer chassis designated the 10.5cm LG 2540 Rh Sfl.
