Yes, the size is closer to a 75 mm. The 75/27 mod. 06 could match except for the shield. :?

Hi Dili and Emmanuel,

And the trail, the gun in the photo has a box trail. The 75/27 mod.06 had a pole trail. http://www.landships.info/landships/art ... cles.html#

I still think it is a Obice da 100/22 mod. 14/19 or its older version Obice da 100/17 mod.14.http://www.landships.info/landships/art ... cles.html#

I changed my opinion because the 100/17 is very different from 100/22, i agree it is a Obice da 100/22 which that makes it more of a gun.

The breech doesn't fit 75 mm Krupp at all, neither do the carriage. I'm pretty sure it's either an Obice da 100/17 modello 14 or a 100/22 modello 14/19.

Hello,
it seems to be a Cannone da 102/35 S.A.V. Mod. 1914-1915 (not sure about the exact designation):

We have a thread about it: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 0&t=101808

Thank Ilya.

I have seen some other photos of this gun in which there seems to be some differences but it is very possible that your're right, as they seem to be several versions of the gun and of the carriage and probably also due to undergo some upgrades in the 30s

Yes many versions of 102/35 exist. Some with 2 some with 3 recuperators after all was a gun with a long life.

Hi all,

Here an image of very rare italian howitzer. Any idea? :? It seems a prototype
Note the very archaic carriage. 8O

At distance the obice doesn't seem much different from a 149/12

More exactly, an Obice da 149/12 Mod. 16 without the shield.

Thank you, Dili.

I found this small and blurry image on Ebay. These guns are 105mm Cannone da 105/28 field guns, but have a type of infrequent wheels, that it's the first time I see in a wartime image.

These guns could have three types of wheels:

wooden wheels
steel wheels with solid rubber tyres (celerflex in elektron)
and this third type of wheels, also of steel with solid rubber but with spokes.

Does somebody have any other wartime image of the Cannone da 105/28 with this type of wheels?

According to photocaption, guns captured by yugoslavian partisans
Thanks in advance. Sturm78

Concerning your post #39

I found this picture
2.jpg
here http://www.italie1935-45.com/operations ... -de-105-28
It says of the Obice at far distance.
prototype de l'obusier lourd de campagne 149 A mod.1916.

It certainly seems that same mount.

You can find in this link also more pics about that kind of 105/28 wheels.
