118c with pulleytower on top

#1

Post by myt1prod » 29 Sep 2012, 13:20

Hi

some weeks ago I came across this ...
118c pulley.jpg
118c pulley2.jpg
some kind of pulley tower on top of a 118c. Both the tower and the tripod are original! Also (no photo  ) on the wall their is a metal fixture intended to hold a ladder... even the ladder seems very old (the new owner had no information on the laldder).

The owner specificly asked me to not mention the location nor his name... some amongst you will perhaps recognise the location... The bunker is entirely closed off... I'm one a the few lucky people (I guess) who could convince the owner to have a quick visit. (photo's will folow this evening/tomorrow... now off to the platier d'Oye in France.)

... more later!!

Here they come...

to help locate the photo's I made this plan of the 118c in mirrorview, just like the one I visited. Note how I'm also trying to mark the used types of doors and panzerplates... I'm no specialist on the subject, so I didn't get that far yet. I also wonder if some doors even had a serialnumber... so if anyone can add to the information, please do.

Insidedoor: (photo) one of the many remaining insidedoors - thin metal gastight door with two lockingmechanisms - two of these insidedoors were entirely re-used including framework to seal off the entrances to the bunker because of the missing gittertürs - (cutout) missing insidedoor, but bolt still in place

... that's it for now, who knows I'll be granted another visit to have a more detailed look (and to re-shoot some photo's which turned out to be off poor quality when uploading them at home).

Nice all the instruction texts. Especially Überdrückleitung. Is this Lisseweghe?

Hi Arthur

The new owner isn't to keen on visitors as he is about to construct a house on top of the bunker. The pulleytower - which is in very poor condition and therefore a hazard of falling over - will be demolished. It is now a constructionsite. The owner specificly asked me not to mention his name, nore the location. I can tell you however it is in the AOK 15 KVA B... and it isn't entirely unknown ...

(I'm willing to share the photo's at full quality, but the quality isn't always that good so I hope to be granted another visit sometime.)

Hi

I could convince the owner to have another visit within a few weeks or so... there is even a slight possibillity I can take along some other (not to much) bunkerfanatics! For those interested; i'll keep you informed on this topic. Also for those interested; the metal structures on the roof have to go, the owner is willing to give them away to those interested... again I'll you informed on this topic.
