M 272 a bunker with many variations

#1

Post by dirk Peeters » 27 Nov 2012, 10:54

I m trying to determine a good plan of a M 272
Not so easy as it looks
They may look al the same but we found many differences between them
I know the gun room can change from the type of the gun
The dimensions varied from 8 m 50 to 10 meter
the other side from 3 meter to 6 meter
one of the largest gun rooms is Castel Vendon StP 230 but the rear of the bunker is here 12 m 50 as indicated on the german plan
But the ones at Ile de ré are 14 m at the rear
These have the largest munitionrooms
So even the complete bunkers varie from all sides to several meters
Can anyone give the correct guns for the following StP please
1 Armee KVA D Ro 417
1 Armee KVA E1 Gi 09
7 Armee KVA H2 StP 48
7 Armee KVA J StP 230
7 Armee KVA J StP 245
15 Armee KVA G StP Trou 05
These are the ones we have good plans of
If any one has detailed plans from the M 272 at danemark ...

Hello Dirk

M 272 was only constructed on two sites in Denmark: Lökken-Nord (12,7 cm S.K./34) and Skagen (12 cm h.s.K L/45).

See plan and photos below.

Best regards

Hello Dirk

I think the M 272 at La Couarde had extra large ammorooms ( lack of ammunitionsbunkers )
that why the gunroom is also larger then the standard M 272 in this battery .
