Re: U-boot pens Brest
some are constructed in mirror
most are 3 m thick and have wooden doors , ventilation was installed
in Keroman they have a cellar , In St nazaire some are modified (2 modified) ...;
the ones in the middle of St Nazaire are the same as in Lorient

Nice drawings Dirk
It looks on the drawing of Arthur that there were two closets in the smallest room (B) of the bunker,
did you found any connections on the walls or floor for the closet and piping ?
Regards Jos

Re: U-boot pens Brest
Hello,
The colsets are wartime. Moreover I have founded the same closets ( the model posted by Dirk at 09:54) in an untouched Ls-bunker.

Thanks Arthur
i didn t say the closets are wartime or not
I just think they are added by the French after the war but it s an opinion and i have no proof so maybe yes maybe no
Jos asked our opinion and here it is for me personaly .... placed after the war by the French army
but you may be right
did you study the pipes ? evacuation pipes and so one ?
for me a trockencloset will do the same as in so much bunker at a fraction of the cost ....

Hello Dirk
I think it´s not a trockencloset due to the flush.
A model of german trockencloset here

It looks different.
Of course you're free to have a different opinion or having doubts

Re: U-boot pens Brest
Some bunkers on remote places received a toilet , like on 4.7 cm Pak bunker on the pier of IJmuiden .
