9 LW Nachr.Rgt 3 at Trouville

#1

Post by dirk Peeters » 30 Sep 2013, 20:36

at Trouville there are the remains of what i think something rare
We see here some marvelous constructions that are completely camouflaged
But let s start with the plans
a aerial picture of 1948 (hate to see the antennas are already gone (a pity)
the greatest bunker here is this command post ?? i ll think more of it as a radio station or any one has info on the purpose?
Nachrichtenstand 01 plan 832.jpg
next to it is a small thing which looks like a toilet ... maybe it s just that
but the inside is 103 cm and when we put three toilets in it it is to small to pass
so i think more as something of a transfo

there is a machinestand (beter machine hause)
FM Machine 04 plan 833.jpg
and at lesat there were three antennas (all the same)

a marvelous and well conserved place

Hi,
I suppose the Building with the roof is the Nachrichtenstand.
And BTW Ln.-Rgt. 3 was a very interesting unit of which we know very little:
http://www.ww2.dk/ground/ln/ln3.html
There are plenty units, which are unaccounted for.

According to my info this is the Luftwaffe "Funckhorch, Air raid warning service for the navy" reporting to the Chi-stelle Referat B in Asnieres. It was almost the same kind of job they did at Overvoorde Rijswijk (The Hague, Netherlands) where the 10 Lw nach.rgt 3 was placed as from mid 1941.

Is this location at trouville still there? as I would love to visit it.

Beton14 (Ben ) called this base Rabe
i ll guess it s more justified as Condor
Do you have anything that is found on Rabe ?

Thanks Ben
another question
i found nothing in my archive of a L 491
could it be a typing error ? or a new type ?
even in the rudy Rolf typologie no L 491 is mentioned
