Large hospital

Post by wimve » 24 Dec 2013, 17:46

Hello all,

Besides the 10cm KK I am still working on my "De Beer" 3D project.
At the moment I am modelling a large hospital bunker. But as always some questions pop up.
DeBeer_038_BA.jpg
The BRV drawing shows some extra rooms I don't know the exact purpose of:
1) should be an engine room, "Maschinenraum", (according the the internet). The room is hugh so does this mean it housed a generator ? If not what was the purpose ?

2) This small room puzzles me also. The drawing isn't clear if the wall is all the way up or lower with a opening in it. It is about 1x2m. What can it be for ?

3) Also according too the internet this should be the heater room. Is this true ?

At last, would a hospital also have antenna nices ?
Thanks,

Wim

Wow, amazing set of pictures that is !

So there was a generator in front of room 2 which contained the fuel tanks.
A water tank for cooling water behind the door.

R10 gasfilter and pump along the wall with a connection through the outer wall and an air heater. Looks like the air pipe then goes through the wall to the other rooms .

Any idea why there are big concrete blocks on the ground at the opposite wall of romm 1 ? The water tanks where normally on the ground as far as I know. The clean waterpump would have a concrete block to stand on but that would not be so high or big.
Thanks,

Wim

Wim that niche you designed here and who is visible at the superb photos of Bo is not always there
The 639 at Re 303 has also that niche and that machinesoccel
I ll think that niche is for that machine there
but on the 639 at Die 14 , the soccle and the niche are missing there .....
but maybe destroyed ?

Hello Dirk,

I do know the problem. That is one of the reasonms I always ask questions.
The devil is in the details.
The brv drawings of De Beer are not always full of details. Even a "notausgang", antenna nices or chimney are not always on the drawings.

So I try to make the best of it.
They are called "Regelbau" but that doesn't make them all the same
Thanks,

Wim
