M 162a/636

#1

Post by jopaerya » 22 Apr 2014, 17:28

Here a nice combination bunker, with a all rooms of the 636 and the observation post as the M 162a
this bunker was build in the M.K.B. Kernwerk Hoek van Holland . A other combination was build in
M.K.B. Kernwerk IJmuiden but that looks a lot different .

Drawing = Nationaal Archief

Hello Jos,

Thanks.
An other combination must take place in MKB Westchouwen ? (called m162a+636S.K. in bauprogram).

Hello

That document is from 1943 and was a building plan , this one was never build .
The M.K.B. Westerschouwen should receive a M 262.

Re,

Ok, I didn't knew what was the document.
But it's strange to read on it the huge difference of m3 concrette between the M176 in A and the M170 in A 8O
On R. Rolf's book both casemates seems to have the same size :|

this bunker looks like a genuine 636 constructed in mirror (like the one at the auderville la roche bttr 7 KVA J)
but only the obs room is changed (but they retained the antennas like in a 636)
but we lack the stairs to go up to the upper part of a M 162a
does anyone knows whet telemeter is used in a 636 for the Heer and what Telemeter is used for the Marine , maybe it is just another marinetype telemeter (rangefinder) and therefore they used a larger obs room ?

There is at my knowledge only one M 162a which has antennas in the obs room and it s Cr 345 Kerbonn (7 KVA B)
but we see clearly the stairs to go up which is not at the 636 we seen above

It could have looked like this:
DeBeer_A2_web.jpg

I have no idea if the entrance had two or four antenna's. Or if there was a heater of some kind at the "notausgang" part. Although the floor was lower there.
Thanks,

Wim

Don't forget the 5th antenna in the ringstand (as far as Cr346 is concerned) :) :

hmmm, seem to have miss that one...
As well as the niches in some walls. Are these niches that go from bottom to ceiling or niches that are located at a certain height above the floor.
Does somebody know what the purpose was ?

Thanks for the correction.
