Hi Sturm 78, hi Uwe,
sorry, I´m no expert in guns, but I have found an interesting information in Waffen-Arsenal Band 125 "Deutsche leichte Feldhaubitzen 1935 - 1945" by Joachim Engelmann. So the company Rheinmetall developped the gun in the years 1928 and 1929. This resulted to a construction of the light field howitzer 18 leFH 18, first L/25, then L/28. Maybe these guns are the model with the shorter barrel L/25. What do You think about it?

Thanks so much for that piece of info SIS 5! Never knew there was a L25.
If it's this particular weapon is hard to say. I always thought the weapon on the pictures as a modernized version (recoil, shield, carriage, but not the barrel) of the L22 LeFH16. If you compare the two weapons the barrels appear more or less the same...but well, maybe they are really L25?
