Bettungen fur Sockellafette ( Norway)

#1

Post by jopaerya » 14 Sep 2014, 11:10

Hello

Does somebody know if the "Bettungen für Sockellafette IV " most build and planned in H.K.B.
for 10.5 cm K.331/2 (f) in Norway are a standard type ( Bauform 73 /271) or a local design ?

Regards Jos

Hello Jos

Thanks for the list.
AFAIK all known Ringstände for Sockellafetten IV in Norway were Bauformen 271.
Seems also that this is the case in Denmark too. Five batteries are known, each with 4x12,2 cm K390 (r) in Sockellafette IV (some of the Sockellafetten were never mounted):

11/180 Børsmose (later to be moved to Vejersstrand):
3x Bauform 271 found (1 finished, 2 unfinished).
(originally 2x Regelbau 671 planned at Vejersstrand)

12/180 Sønderho:
Probably 4x Bauform 271 (?) planned, probably partly build.

16/180 Dyreby (later to be moved to Blaabjerg Plantage):
Probably 2x Bauform 271 (?) planned at Blaabjerg Plantage, not build.
(originally 2x Regelbau 671 planned at Blaabjerg Plantage)

20/180 Bulbjerg:
2x Regelbau 671 + 2x Bauform 271 planned, not build.

21/180 Slettestrand:
2x Regelbau 671 + 2x Bauform 271 (?) planned, partly build.

Greetings
lars

Thanks Lars

I saw these picture's on Kysfort Forum , these emplacements don't look like a Bauform 73/271 .

Thanks Jos. Very interesting pictures. That is for sure not a Bauform 271. Do you know where the pitures were taken?

Hello Lars

H.K.B. 24./978 Lodshavn in the book from J.B. Wahl , it's calles a reduced Bauform 73/271 .

Hello Jos
Thanks. The three openings in the external walls may indicate that the emplacement was never finished. Maybe some kind of Bauform 271 (variant) though??
The HKBs on your list are all situated in the northernmost part of Norway. This may be the reason why HKB Lodshavn is not mentioned.

Thanks again Lars

That is only a part of page one there is also a page two , the last H.K.B. is 18./979 Landehofden .

Beside the concrete pivot also the outer form does not fit with the Bauform 73/271 .

Is this the only one in Norway or were there others like in the H.K.B. Lodshavn ??

Hello Jos
You may be right. The concrete plinth might look like that of a Bauform 271 (with an enlarged and cantilevered platform), but the external walls with the 3 openings look like something quite different.

I had a quick look into my papers. The Ringstände for Sockellafette IV in Norway are listed as SK (SonderKonstruktion) with the text Geschützstellung mit Munitionsnischen, no specific type listed for any of the batteries on the list posted in the beginning of this tread.

A couple of other 271-variants - from HKB 38./977 Maröy-Nord [4x10,5cm K331(f)] and HKB 34./977 Gavlen [4x10,5cm K332(f)]:

HKB Langesund had two similar constructions of a unknown type (both were demolished in the 60's during reconstruction of the battery, so it's difficult to make an exact reconstruction of the bunker.)

You are right JEF

The only documentation I could find with the Bauform 73/271 were these pages .

H.K.B. Risenaes
H.K.B. Lammetun
H.K.B. Skarsten
H.K.B. Vemmelsvik
