Forum members,

I was thinking if the time has come to add a new category to the forum. A category with a relation to the Destroyed Bunker Thread, but in fact the opposite... Maybe there are more projects that are worth mentioning like this one in Leusden-Holland. The renovation of a 703, it will become a small museum/informationpoint.

a new thread ....;) :milwink:

Nice work indeed!

Maybe a moderator can make a new sticky called "bunker preservation/renovation projects" or something like that.

There are alot of projects going on, and if related topics are gathered in one sticky tread we can learn from each others projects! I think allmost everywhere the same problems occure: how do we get the power supply cable in without it being in sight or in dangerous position.. or how do we make the walls of an open trench correct and "idiot proof".

Can be a a very useful tread!
Gr, Tim

Thnx for the support Bunkermann, Dirk and Jopaerya !

Bunkermann exactly mentions where the win-win can be found,

in Arnhem we have limited budget for the reconstruction of a trench to one of the Kochbunker in the garden of the Museum Arnhem. We have to make choices in the reconstruction, choices that are not historical correct but based on maintenance and sustainability. I also think we can learn from each other and the thread is also a 'pr-tool' for the project.

How about "The "Restored Bunkers" thread"? - but should it be with sub-threads by country/region or by bunker type?

JTG,

I would prefer one thread without country/type differentiation. Although there are regional differences in regulations, the technical aspects and choices will be the same in many cases and that's where we can learn from the existing projects and successes elsewhere.

AW,

There is no homepage yet dedicated to the bunker. It is mentioned on the Grebbelinie page : http://grebbelinie.nl/newsitem/235

After opening in the spring of 2015 it is free to enter (somewhere between 0900-1800h).

There are also QR-codes for additional info on local history/flora/fauna.

Greetings, Leo
